Uncork that bottle of champagne, open a can of Chicken of the Sea and microwave some Buffalo wings, because Jessica Simpson is getting ready to ring in the New Year on ABC. The bubble headed pop star and her husband Nick Lachey will co-host "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2004" with the ageless Clark.

As Clark does his usual countdown duties from Times Square in New York, the duo from MTV's hit reality comedy "Newlyweds" will oversee musical performances from Hollywood. Among the performers scheduled to appear are The Black Eyed Peas, Bow Wow, Hall & Oates, Jagged Edge, Jason Mraz, Donna Summer and 3 Doors Down.

The hosting couple is also likely to perform.

In the city, Clark (whose evening is broken up into three different hour-long "Rockin' Eve" specials by ABC programmers) will be joined by Steve Doocy from "Fox & Friends" and Mario Lopez, who will always be from "Saved By the Bell" no matter what else he chooses to do. Clark, Doocy and Lopez will report on the festivities from the Big Apple as well as introducing highlights from some of the year's hottest concert tours including recorded performances by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Elton John, KISS, Avril Lavigne and Tim McGraw.

"Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve 2004" will begin at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 31. It will be followed by "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2004, Part 1" at 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. And that will be followed by "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2004, Part 2" beginning at 1:05 a.m. on Thursday, Jan 1. Chances are that if you're partying hard enough, you won't notice when one special ends and the next begins.

This will be Dick Clark's 32nd consecutive year leading America in a chorus of "Auld Lang Syne."
